Guide for Examining Patients
Within
each system, a summary of what to inspect, palpate, percuss, and auscultate
guides the student through the examination sequence. Guide also includes items
to note such as tenderness and dullness to remind them what to look for.
Templates help provide students with a consistent format for taking notes.
Handwritten Notes and Drawings
Used
with a Tablet PC, Profiler offers the flexibility for notes to be entered in 3
forms: 1) typed, 2) handwritten, or 3) handwriting recognition to convert into
text. Providers can write directly on the screen with a pen and store
handwritten notes and drawings, allowing for quick data entry and easy
annotation of physical exams. Unlike handheld / palm devices that require
you to use its own set of characters, providers can write out sentences normally
just as on paper.
Markup Diagrams
Diagrams of each system are included along with the examination
sequence, and can be annotated directly on the diagram to identify areas that
are abnormal or require additional explanation.
Medical Abbreviations
Comprehensive list of over 1,000 medical abbreviations and symbols help
students quickly lookup and learn abbreviations.
Patient Positions & Contextual Help
The patient’s position for examination of each system is indicated along
with the diagram of the system. Contextual help spells out abbreviations used,
and provides additional help such as normal ranges of certain measures.
Report Generated with Diagrams
Once the interview and examination are complete, generate a report based
on your inputs, broken down into each history section and physical exam system.
